R2D2 as a quiet hand of the force
Throughout the Star Wars saga, R2‑D2 appears again and again at the precise moments where the fate of the galaxy turns. His presence is so consistent, so perfectly placed, and so deeply intertwined with the Skywalker line that it becomes difficult to see him as merely a capable astromech. When the entire story is viewed as one continuous thread, R2 begins to resemble something far more profound: a vessel through which the Force nudges events toward balance, not through spectacle, but through small, decisive actions that change everything.
When we turn to the saga in chronological order, R2 enters the story quietly, performing the kind of routine duties that give no hint to the characters around him of how deeply he will become woven into the galaxy’s fate. That quiet introduction lasts only a moment before he steps into his first hinge‑point. During the escape from Naboo, when Queen Amidala’s ship is crippled under heavy fire, it is R2 who restores the shields and allows the ship to break the blockade. Without that intervention, Padmé dies, Anakin never leaves Tatooine, and the Skywalker line ends before it begins. The future of the galaxy pivots on a single astromech making a single choice in a moment of crisis.

The return of myself + re-ranking Star Wars shows
well, im back after over a year, and there’s been some interesting Star Wars developments, so I guess I might as well rank my favorite live action Star Wars shows.
I know these are going to be a lot of hot takes, so here goes nothing

What are your favorite Star Wars moments? (Movies and shows)
What are your favorite top Star Wars moments? I'll start with some mine. Let yours in the comments below. This isn't in order.
1.) Binary Sunset. I absolutely love this scene for a multitude of reasons. The score is just absolutely beautiful and Luke staring off into the sunset wondering what he'll do in life always hits me. I'm at a similar point in my life not really having a direction. The scene has always impacted me pretty hard and the shots are beautiful especially with the Force theme playing.
Sorry for how blurry it is
Long time sub. But new here. I have a bunch of theories I've been meaning share over the years.
I tried posting this twice on Reddit this morning but they deleted it both times. Here's my theory. In the Phantom Menace currently on Disney Plus at countdown timer 1:51:35 R2D2 bumps into Jar Jar, delaying R2 one second from exiting the ship to repair the Deflector Shields. As R2 exits the ship you can clearly see a giant laser blast at 1:51:30 shot from the Trade Federation skim R2 by a millimeter. Also the droid that exits the ship right before R2 gets blasted into Oblivion by that same weapon. So if R2 never bumped into Jar Jar, R2D2's story in the Skywalker saga would be extremely short-lived. Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Padme etc. probably wouldn't have survived their escape from Naboo. I believe George intentionally did this to show us at that exact moment the force had something to do with Jar Jars clumsiness that actually saved / prevented R2's demise.

Arihnda Pryce versus Mara Jade
I was reading the Star Wars: Thrawn book, and I was curious about something, does Arihnda Pryce from this book seem more relatable than the version in Rebels? I feel like the book version seems more like a human that I can pity versus the Rebels TV series. I can feel her hurt at the betrayal and how it calluses her and makes her cynical and hard hearted. There was one scene in particular where she met Thrawn at a gala event. I can't help but wonder . . . Would Mara Jade know her, or have know about her? Do you think Mara Jade would have thought bad about Arihnda or would she pity her? Both women had a hard life. Both served the Empire and actively fought the Rebellion or worked to thwart the Rebels. But Mara Jade wasn't working for her own political gain like Arihnda. Do you think Mara could have met her before Price died? Would Price have had respect for Mara if Price had met her and if she knew Mara was the Emporer's Hand? What are your thoughts on these two women. I still like Mara Jade better, but I feel pity and understanding regarding Arihnda Pryce turning out the way she did with having no real moral compass like Mara Jade seemed to have.
