Andor's Flashbacks

Hey guys, reading through the Star Wars.com Andor Trivia Gallery and there was some interesting information on time period of the flashbacks. It states that the flashbacks take place prior to the clone wars, and since we know that the CIS was established in 24BBY, it would have to be between this and 22BBY. This means, in correlation to previous canon which is now false, Andor would be 2-4 years old, which is not the case in the flashbacks.

This new information does explain why Maarva didn't recognise the CIS symbol as they would be relatively new, which could explain why she mistook them for Republic. The only problem with this is that Clem says 'when they come to clean up', which I assume is referring to the Republic. Clem in some sense makes out that they saw the ship get shot down, but then due to Maarva, it would have been a Republic shot Republic situation, if the ship they were flying was identifiable as a Republic ship. Although the inside doesn't really look like a Republic ship, I feel like it wouldn't make a lot of sense if it wasn't a Republic ship.

Although they butchered Andor's real age, I really like the mystery of what the CIS was doing in the Republic ship (potentially), and if they were carrying a biological weapon, how that could have changed the tides of the Clone Wars.

It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on what the CIS were doing and if you think it was a stolen Republic ship or not.
