Oh, man. It's been a while since I did a post like this, but here we are. The Acolyte, at least it's first Season, just came to an end last night. And now I want to talk about a potential Season 2 and what I think could happen. Before I start however, I just want to say this: as someone who hasn't devoted any of their time to watching the show, and has only seen bits and pieces of it, I personally don't want a Season 2. From what few clips I've seen, apart from the fight scenes, and all the scenes with Sol and Qimir, I didn't like what the final product turned out to be and don't wish to see more of it.

But anyway, that's just me. You may feel different, and that's completely fine with me. If you like this show, and what it ultimately amounted to be, good for you.

And also, there will be major spoilers for the first Season of The Acolyte, so if you are someone who wants to watch it, please do so before coming back to this post. If not, that is totally fine. Now, onto the predictions.

1.) We will learn more about the past of Qimir/The Stranger

Okay, here's the first prediction I have: in the possible Season 2, we may learn more about Qimir (or The Stranger, Darth Zippermouth, Smilo Ren, whatever you want to call him). This was something I hoped Season 1 would focus on, since Qimir, apart from Sol, was the real character driving the show home and not the twins. Ever since the reveal that he was under that mask in Episode 5, I've seen speculation running rampant on whether or not he is a Sith. And while it's confirmed that he is A Sith, it's unclear if he's a true Sith now, due to the fact that we know he was casted out of both the Sith and the Jedi.

So here are my best guesses as to who Qimir was as a Sith:

A.) He was a secret Apprentice that Darth Plagueis trained in the event that Plagueis would overthrow and kill his own Master, Darth Tenebrous. However, after Tenebrous found out about this, Plagueis had no choice but to cast Qimir aside, in order to prove his loyalty to Tenebrous, who would die anyway by other means.

B.) Qimir isn't an Apprentice to Plagueis, but a secret Apprentice of Tenebrous that Tenebrous planned on using as an insurance policy, should Plagueis ever fail him. This would make Qimir the Canon version of Darth Venamis. And who knows? Perhaps he fought Plagueis after Tenebrous died, received the scars across his back (I've seen people speculate that those scars were from Vernestra Rwoh's Lightwhip, idk if that's confirmed yet), and was ultimately forced to retreat.

I hope the show delves into Qimir's past a little more if we get a Season 2.

2.) The Knights of Ren and how they came to be

In many of Qimir's scenes since Episode 5, you could faintly hear Kylo Ren's theme playing in the background. Leslye Headland did say that Kylo's theme was there for a reason, but couldn't say why. This, coupled with the fact that Qimir looks a lot like Kylo himself when he is masked up, leads me to only one conclusion:

Qimir and Osha will be the founders of the Knights of Ren. Or, more accurately, the cult that would eventually become the Knights of Ren. In my eyes, with how similar Qimir looks to the Knights of Ren, the fact that he was casted out of both the Jedi and the Sith, and Kylo's theme subtly playing in a few of Qimir's scenes, this must be the only explanation for this.

3.) Vernestra will find out who was behind Sol's death

In The Acolyte Episode 8, Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh informs the Senate of not just what happened with the deaths of several Jedi of Khofar, but also what REALLY happened on Brendok years earlier, which Sol and his comrades covered up. In her explanation, Vernestra tells the Senators that she believes Sol was behind the killings of the Jedi on Khofar, and when asked where Sol is, Vernestra tells everyone in the room that Sol was found dead on Brendok.

While she did say that she believed Sol ended his own life over the guilt of his actions, we also see her entering Master Yoda's chambers to ''talk''. I believe their discussion could be about Sol, what happened on Brendok, who was truly behind the deaths of just about everyone in that Jedi strike team, Jecki and Yord included, and what was the cause of Sol's death.

I believe that in Season 2, we may see Vernestra going to search for answers about what Sol did and what led to his death against the wishes of the Jedi Council. This self-investigation will ultimately lead to Vernestra's demise, either at the hands of Osha and Qimir, or at the hands of Plagueis, in order to prevent information about the Sith's existence from getting out. And after Vernestra fails to return from her investigation, the Jedi will assume that she simply went rogue and will label her as one of The Lost Twenty, a group of Jedi that Count Dooku would later become a part of in the decades to come.

4.) Mother Koril will return

I know what you may or may not be thinking when reading that headline, and I completely agree. None of us want to see that cult of witches return again. But truth be told, Mother Koril was not among the witches that died on Brendok, and simply disappeared into a cloud of black smoke. I believe she is still out there somewhere, and we could even see her cross paths with Darth Plagueis and pass the knowledge of creating life to him so that Plagueis could begin his experiments and manipulation of the Midichlorians to create life. While I personally wouldn't WANT this to happen, and hold the belief that it was Tenebrous who passed this knowledge down to Plagueis, it could make sense in my opinion.

5.) Darth Plagueis is the antagonist of Season 2

Now, let us address the elephant in the room: Plagueis. At the end of Episode 8 of The Acolyte, right as Osha and Qimir leave the mysterious planet, we see a hooded, disheveled Muun watching their ship leave from inside a cave. For die-hard Star Wars fans myself, without a mention of who this is, it's made abundantly clear that it's none other than Darth Plagueis The Wise. Going back to my Qimir predictions, if he was a secret Apprentice to either Plagueis or Tenebrous, it is highly likely that Plagueis would be watching Qimir's every move, waiting for the right opportunity to kill him so that the Grand Plan of the Sith can succeed.

Going back to the predictions I just made about Mother Koril, if she is alive and happens to meet Plagueis, not only will he learn the secrets of creating life from her, but also the existence of Osha and Mae, whom we just learned were two bodies for one soul. Upon learning about Osha in particular, now that she's Qimir's Apprentice, Plagueis could take interest in Osha as a possible Sith Apprentice.

6.) Either Osha or Qimir will become Plagueis's Apprentice

At the end of Season 2, I suspect Plagueis will have finally found Osha and Qimir, alongside their early Knights of Ren, and will face them in combat. Though Qimir is extremely skilled with a Lightsaber, having killed several Jedi on Khofar, and although Osha is gifted with the Force, neither one of them will defeat Plagueis. Now, this is what I think will happen after Osha and Qimir fail to kill Plagueis:

A.) Plagueis will give Qimir a second chance as a Sith Apprentice, and force him to kill Osha in a brutal Lightsaber, granting him the Darth title and with it, his newly renewed tenure as a Dark Lord of the Sith.

B.) Plagueis, seeing Osha's potential as a Sith, will have her fight Qimir, in order to gain the honor of being his Apprentice. Though Osha and Qimir would be evenly matched, Osha, knowing her Master and every trick he'll attempt to pull up his sleeve, will strike him down and become Plagueis's Apprentice.

7.) The Post-Credits Scene

Whether it is Osha or Qimir that becomes Plagueis's Apprentice, it will not matter. Plagueis will most likely cast one of them, more likely Osha, aside, but will not kill them. Instead, much like what he did with Darth Venamis in Legends, Plagueis will use either Osha or Qimir as a test subject for his Midichlorian experiments, with Mother Koril aiding him in these dark and twisted sessions, making her Plagueis's own Doctor Hemlock.

As for a potential Post-Credits Scene for the Season 2 finale, we could see a timejump several years into the future, and see Naboo in live-action for the first time since Revenge Of The Sith. Here, we would see Plagueis, under his public identity of Hego Demask, undergoing intergalactic trade between the government of Naboo and Demask Holdings for the amount of plasma Naboo has in store.

While Plagueis is walking through the streets of Theed, however, he would encounter a sudden vergence in the Force. Following the direction of this vergence, Plagueis would eventually cross paths with a young teenage man with red hair and teal blue eyes, whom he would sense in this moment has more power in the Force than either Mae or Osha ever could. Plagueis and the young man would talk for a bit, before Plagueis asks the young man his name, to which the boy introduces himself as ''Sheev'', ending the finale on a cliffhanger.

Then from here we would have The Acolyte Season 3, with the main lead changing from Mae and Osha to a young Darth Sidious and focusing on his Apprenticeship under Plagueis, before eventually killing his Master in his sleep, as the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise goes.

Now, onto the big, big question: Could The Acolyte Season 2 happen, and should it?

Yes, maybe. I feel like Leslye Headland has set up enough of a story for Season 2 to happen, but at the same time, with fan backlash being at and all-time high and review bombings continuing to come in, I can't help but say there is a slim chance of it actually coming to fruition. I personally don't want Season 2 to happen, but if Disney greenlights it, then so be it.

Anyway, these were my predictions for The Acolyte Season 2. I plan on making another post on The Acolyte Season 2 very soon, revolving around who could potentially play/voice Darth Plagueis, so stay tuned for that. Let me know what you thought of my predictions and what your predictions are down below.

And as always, thanks for reading and May The Force Be With You!
