Embo was a kyuzo bounty hunter active during the Clone Wars and until at least 5 ABY. He wore a large circular hat that he used as a weapon and shield. Embo was known for working as part of Sugi's gang of bounty hunters, although on his account he forged a reputation as one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy, even going up against Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. He also owned a pet anooba named Marrok. Following the Battle of Jakku, Embo received funding from the New Republic and lived as a farmer on Felucia.

Around the year 22 BBY, Embo was hired as part of Sugi's band of bounty hunters to defend farmers on Felucia. The farming village leader, Casiss, had hired the mercenaries to protect the village from him and their crops from Hondo Ohnaka and his pirates. Shortly after the bounty hunters were hired, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, and Padawan Ahsoka Tano landed on the planet and sought help from the town. The three Jedi found the town seemingly deserted, but upon entering one of the dwellings, Embo and her fellow bounty hunters Sugi, Seripas, and Rumi Paramita; they surrounded them. This led to a tense standoff, with the Jedi igniting their lightsabers, until Cassis intervened, asking the two groups to work together.

Kenobi was reluctant to help the villagers, as he feared that his presence would make the farmers a target for Separatist forces. Shortly after, the Jedi discovered that it was Ohnaka who was threatening the town. When Ohnaka turned down Kenobi's offer of a large sum of money in exchange for leaving the farmers alone, the Jedi decided to help the farmers. Kenobi aided the bounty hunters in their efforts to protect the village, while Skywalker began training the farmers to defend themselves. As Skywalker showed the farmers how a simple tool could become a weapon, Embo watched closely, laughing at the farmers' mistakes. Suddenly, Sugi saw a pirate scout spying on them from a nearby chasm and sent Embo to stop him.

Despite the distance, Embo reached the pirate before he could get on his speeder bike, destroying the vehicle with a single shot. The pirate then attempted to attack Embo, but the kyuzo used his armored hat as a shield for him as he charged directly at the pirate, with the pirate's laser blasts leaving nothing but marks on his hat. He then jumped into the air, spinning so that only his hat was visible to his enemy, landing, disarming the pirate, and knocking him to the ground. The Weequay pirate tried to attack Embo again, this time with a punch, but the bounty hunter easily blocked it and broke the pirate's neck with both hands. Kenobi and Skywalker congratulated Embo on his work. Although Embo had bought them some more time to defend themselves, the Jedi knew that Ohnaka would not wait too long to attack.

His observations turned out to be true, as not long after, dozens of pirates headed towards the village, shooting at its defenders. Embo knocked a pirate off his bike, then jumped onto another, snapping the biker's neck and throwing him aside. He thus commandeered a vehicle, using it to attack other pirates. When Ohnaka arrived in his tank, Embo wasn't quick enough to avoid one of the tank's shots. Embo fell to the ground, his right arm severely injured. Skywalker saw that the bounty hunter was injured, and called out his name. Sugi and others helped him by carrying him to the main barn in the village, while the battle continued. Later, Ohnaka fled the planet, stating that the village was no longer profitable for him. Later, Embo and his companions left with the Jedi aboard Sugi's ship, to take them to a Galactic Republic outpost.

At some point during the Clone Wars, some five thousand credits were offered for capturing Embo, accused of committing crimes against the Republic on Coruscant.
