Hi all !
I’m interested what other people would be liking to see in a decent Star Wars game?
I’ll put my idea out first. I realise my idea resembles like the current KTOR MMO out there but bare with me it’s not a copy of that game. My idea actually lloans stuff from KTOR but also ESO.
Ok my set up for this game would be time period of Star Wars Rebels.
This would be the ideal setting in my opinion because the Empire is still trying to get itself set up and is trying get it’s iron grip on the galaxy. At the same the Rebel Alliance has just been formed and there are a ton crimininal orginisation trying to cash in on the chaos after the fall of the Republic and new Imperial rule.
The player creates a character ( Human, non- human, cyborg ) and then he can choose wich faction this character will be in Empire , Rebel group, criminal system ( reason why I say criminal system because this is a place holder name).
Just like in ESO you can pick whatever skill line you want ( shooting,Force sensitivety etc.. )
And similar to ESO you can follow the main stroy line or just skip it and dedicate yourself on your faction quest ( Imperial, Rebel, Criminal). This quest will tell you the story of what happens at that moment in your faction ( Imperial internal power struggle that will lead you to meet inconic Imperial figures like Vader and Tarkin), for the Rebels it would mean that you would work together with Ghost crew and later on with the Rebel network, for the Criminal faction it would you could work for the Black Sun or just be a bounty hunter and work for anyone who will pay you.
In this game you would be able to travel from planet to planet in the beginning to faction specific travelling points like Imperial outposts/bases, Rebel Camps, Hutt palaces.
The more you level up you can buy yourself a speederbike and a spaceship.
Now here it becomes possbible just like in ESO to spend Ingame Credits or you can buy Super Credits ( premium currency) to buy yourself a ship. For the Empire this would be a Lord Vaders advanced Tie Figther , Lamba Shuttle or with Super Credits the Arquitens class cruiser.
Rebel ships would be the X-wing;Y-wing and with Super Credits a Mon Calamari cruiser.
So this is my idea for a Star Wars game. it has a lot of holes in it but it’s a rough idea.

Sounds similar to SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic) except SWTOR is based in the Old Republic era. But nonetheless, this is a great idea for a game that I’d definitely play.
I still want my Star Wars 1313 game.. RIP.
Anyway I would absolutely love a new bounty hunter game (**that doesn’t get cancelled**) where you’re given targets by numerous cartels such as The Black Sun, Death Watch, the Empire, etc. You can earn credits to buy and upgrade your ship, buy and upgrade your own base, stuff like that.
Not sure what the endgame would be. Maybe to choose whatever cartel you want to work for and dedicate your time to. Just a rough idea.November 5, 2017 at 11:48 am #3936
Yeah but it’s impossible to not base certain gale mechanics on other games to be honest.
But yeah in this game bounty hunting would be a legit way of playing and your base could be your ship. I mean why not?
Yeah 1313 would have been a great game 🙁

Very interesting. I’d buy it if it was a game lol.
What about a Mandalorian based game? Maybe the story could be about you, being found by a Mandalorian clan and “adopted” by them. You grow up learning about the Mandalorian ideals and rules. Maybe you meet someone from the Republic, and someone from the Empire, with lots of character developments and stories that have an effect on your views of each faction, and your own ideals. Perhaps you can decide in the endgame whether you want to stay with the Mandalorians, side with the Republic or side with the Empire, or possibly even go off on your own.

Hey Chris, Your first idea made me think of Diablo 3, but it sounds cool.
Echo, your game also sounds cool. It would be cool to pick a certain time in Mandalorian History to play through. You could pick the Mandalorian Wars, the clone wars, or the Imperial wars. With your idea Chris I feel like a fourth choice should be Saw’s Rebels. Well to be honest I think Echo’s idea fleshes out my game more because it gives a good base story and direction for the game. Two birds one stone get a game out where we we can explore the Star Wars Universe and tell a relative unknown history of the Mandalorian people.
Because face it most people know the Mandalorians first and foremost because of Jango and Boba Fett. Then we have Star Wars Rebels that dives a little bit deeper in this proud people.
And that’s basically it but I like your idea to Paul using the point of view Saw Gerera(?)

Based off of what I saw in The Clone Wars tv show I would want a Republic Commando game that is actually on a console system rather than the hand held Battlefront Republic Commandos for the PSP. I would buy this game because the republic commando’s are supposed to be the elite troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic and sent on specialty missions and I was very upset by the fact that the Clone Wars tv show did not show the commandos on a specialty assignment. So maybe the game would be more focused around Gregor and Foxtrot Group or even Clone Force 99 where you get to play as each of the Commando’s using their speciality at different parts of the mission. This way you could actually see why the Commando’s are considered the highly elite of all of the clone troopers the army had. With these troops you could travel to unknown worlds and see what their secret missions actually were. I would most definitely buy this game if they decided to come out with it for a console system.

Ideal RPG. Note this may be long.
1. The option to play as the bad guys or the good guys. My ideal way to do this would be similar to Skyrim, Fallout or Morrowind. Where you start off as a nobody and choose the side in-game. You would have to find a Sithlord to become a Sith, and join a Bounty Hunters League (placeholder) to become a Bounty Hunter.
2. A Lightside Darkside meter similar to Knights of the Old Republic series. This measures you based on your deeds, and your answers when talking to people.
3. Of course you start off as a force sensitive, so a skill tree would make sense. This skill tree would allow the player to choose if they want to focus their skills in certain areas. Lets say the skill trees would be Combat, Stealth, Agility, The Force, and Persuasion.
So its starting to sound a lot like Skyrim now. This is where it differs.
4. Gameplay elements unlocked via Skill Trees (something I always wanted to see in a game period). Stealth would slowly unlock a cover based stealth system and a picklock mini-game, Agility would slowly unlock a Assassin Creed style parkour system, Combat would unlock things Ironsights on Blasters and a weapon upgrade system, The Force would unlock force powers and double jump, and Persuasion would unlock a mini-game where you try to hit the green on a spinny thing (IDK something).
5. A mixture of small areas to do a story-driven mission in and big open world areas to explore.
6. Finally, multiplayer. It wouldn’t be a MMO, but multiplayer would be done differently. I would have planets with multiplayer maps that people fight over. These would gain territory for said faction. Yet, it would be non-evasive to the single-player experience.
7. Mini-games like little arcade machines with IDK pod-racing.
8. Your Lightsaber sticks with you once you build it. So, no lightsaber replacing. Maybe upgrading as long as it doesn’t effect the color or look.March 17, 2018 at 6:37 pm #7219

I would like to see a Grand Theft Auto does Star Wars.
You start off as a nobody during an established period, start getting contacts (many worlds should feature), work you way up a chosen path until you reach a grand height, with shed loads of extra missions like Pod Racing, star fighter battles, spice running and other nefarious acts working for the Hutt clans or if you choose a force sensitive, finding masters to train from whether light or dark.
Also, being able to wield a variety of weapons
The best thing about GTA is that its non linear, i.e you can get from A to B via many different paths and has many extra missions to try if you want to get to 100% completion.
If a Star Wars game were done like this, it would be my dream video game lol! Please tell me if there are any out there like that!!March 23, 2018 at 3:31 pm #7463
