This would change everything.
Anakin (Now Vader) would never fight Obi-wan on Mustafar. Padme would never go to Mustafar to look for Vader, because Obi-wan would never tell her about Vader. Vader would return to Padme on Coruscant after killing the Seperatist leaders on Mustafar, and take her to the Hospital Plaza in the Senate District to give birth. Padme would live, and Vader would tell her the same speech he would have told her on Mustafar. How him and Padme could rule the galaxy, and how he could overthrow Palpatine. Padme would then tell Vader to leave everything behind while they still can. Vader would say that it’s already too late. Vader, having almost no other choice, would agree with Vader, and tell him to go overthrow Palpatine. Vader would temporarily leave the children and Padme at the hospital to overthrow Palpatine.
Vader would fly over to the Senate Building to the Chancellor’s holding office, where Palpatine and Yoda would have originally fought. Vader tells the guards to leave them, and they do so. “Lord Vader,” Palpatine says. “This is a surprise” “Padme has given birth to twins” Vader says, to distract him. Palpatine tells Vader “I have sensed it. They are very strong in the force. You must have felt it as well.” Vader says “I have. But this is not the main reason I’m here” “I know” replies Palpatine. “Are you here to kill me?” Without saying a word, Vader ignites his blue lightsaber. Palpatine reaches out his hands, and sends several shock waves to Vader. (NOTE: Because Obi-wan is dead, Vader never battled him on Mustafar, so he is not in his suit, so he, combined with the dark side, is more powerful then Anakin, or Vader in his suit.) Vader uses his lightsaber to delfect the lightning back at Palpatine. He then force chokes Palpatine by surprise. The next thing Vader knows, is the Royal Red guards burst through the doors, weapons in hand, and charges towards Vader. Vader then uses his lightsaber to destroy their weapons, and decapitates them both. Vader looses grip on Palpatine. To Vader’s surprise, Palpatine sends shock wave after shock wave of force lightning to Vader. Palpatine stops, but that was a mistake. Vader then throws his lightsaber towards Palpatine, and he gets decapitated.
Vader returns to the Hospital Plaza to tell Padme that Palpatine is dead. Luke and Leia would have been trained as sith from birth. Padme would learn to respect the new Vader, and become the highest rank of senator in the Imperial Court. Vader would relinquish the rule of two, Ezra Bridger would not stay with the ghost crew without Kanan’s influence, The inquisitors would never exist, The Death Star would never be destroyed, and be feared upon throughout the galaxy, the alliance to restore the republic would be destroyed, the first order would never exist, Kylo Ren would never be born, Rey would live on Jakku for all her days, and chaos would ripple across the galaxy with Emperor Vader, Darth Dyeing (Luke), and Darth Scouth (Leia).March 20, 2018 at 8:42 pm #7313

That would definitely make an interesting what if and I agree with the vast majority of that. The only area I have a different point of view on is that I don’t think Padme would ever have accepted a dark side Anakin – this would have totally have gone against her character.
Also, I believe that Palpatine was relying on Padme (and her unborn children) dying in order to cement Anakins turn to the dark side, so he himself would never have accepted her alive because her and the children would have tempted Vader back to the light. So I think he would have tricked Anakin into trusting the birth of his children to ‘his staff’ & sent Anakin on a mission to get him out of the way. Then he would have seen to it that she died in the hospital. This way, Luke & Leia would have died with her & Anakin would have been so incensed because he couldn’t ‘fulfil his destiny’ and save them, that he would have turned extremely Dark – probably too dark for Palpatine to handle and Vader would have killed him no problem when he outgrew his teachings. The rebellion would not have stood a chance.
