What would happen if Padmé survived and led the rebellion with Luke and Leia? Would Vader give in and come back to the light or kill them all?
I doubt Vader would turn with Padme’s help. She would have been a reminder of his PAST just as Ahsoka was in Rebels, which is why he attempted to strike her down. Luke was a symbol of what Anakin could have been and he was symbolized as what the future would be. Anakin was full of hate from his past and how painful it was, which is why he attempted to erase his past.
