What if Cade bane stole Boba armour?  As you can see in the pitcher the patch and dent are in the same part of the head. I have an idea what if at some point Boba and Cabe got into a fight and somehow Cade got Boba's armour, (or just the helmet) and then boba shot Cade with something that made the dent but also knocked Cade Band out and later made him have to get the patch.
