This could be controversial, but I think some fans could agree that Rosario Dawson doesn't do as well as Ahsoka. I don't think it's Rosario's fault, as she clearly put a lot of work into getting the character right, but Rosario doesn't look like Ahsoka or feel like Ahsoka. Ahsoka is energetic and exciting & sarcastic, but Rosario's Ahsoka is bland and, dare I say, boring. She feels too stoic & unempathetic. Sure, one could make the argument that Ahsoka has hardened over the years, but she is still empathetic & exciting in Rebels. Maybe her fight with Vader just drove her into a stoic phase or something, but live action doesn't seem to do her character justice. Now, I know this might sound like useless complaining, but Rosario doesn't look like Ahsoka either.

Now, of course, one is animated and the other is live action, but cmon. Ahsoka's face is very round, while Rosario's is long. Rosario's nose is bigger. Rosario just doesn't feel like Ahsoka & I don't really know why...Of course, I could point out the Lekku problem too, but I won't. In the next picture, we can see an actress named Laura Harrier, who actually looks very similar to Ahsoka.

Now they're both striking a similar pose, so it'll look more similar, but, cmon, does she not look significantly more like Ahsoka than Rosario? Of course, the voice also comes into play. I have no idea what Laura sounds like, so I can't say if she sounds like Ahsoka. If she sounds nothing like Ahsoka, then I can understand why they wouldn't have casted her. Laura Harrier looks more like Ahsoka and has a way more similar physique. Now maybe Laura looks too young but she's 33 which is the same age as Ahsoka in rebels. If she would gain some weight and have a crew make her look older I think it'd work pretty well. I think if they had casted Laura as Ahsoka & made a CGI Lekku with it being as long and big as it is in Rebels, it would have gone better wayyy better.

Now maybe I'm just nitpicking. I'm not trying to complain or hate & I still think Rosario's great, but I'm just pointing out how she doesn't really resemble Ahsoka. Perhaps Rosario's Ahsoka doesn't feel great because of poor writing, which is why she feels so bland and boring. Like I said, I was not trying to complain, just pointing out things I noticed all the way back during Mando season 2 but never pointed out. Maybe it's just because Ashley Eckstein isn't bringing to life the character she played for so long, 🤷‍♂️ Obviously, you can't make it perfect since Ashley isn't voicing Ahsoka. I aint got any complaints about Ariana Greenblatt as young Ahsoka tho. I think she did great especially with the voice but it could be I'm just a simp considering the fact she's a year older than me. 😂 Anyway, I won't rant any longer.
