Mandalorian iron or Mandalorian steel, is an alloy used in the Mandalorian armor.it has a high tolerance to extreme types of damage and even can withstand direct hits from blasters, also repels strikes from lightsabers.

Beskar can be damaged by weapons also made out of beskar hence making weapons from Beskar is considered taboo. It is only found on Mandalorian worlds.

Beskar is one of the strongest and most legendary metals in the galaxy, The Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders wore armor composed of beskar. Around 501 BBY, the Mandalorians continued to use the metal in their armor. During the Clone Wars, the Death Watch and Night Owls continued to use Beskar in their armor.

During Mandalore's third civil war, Imperial Governor Tiber Saxon had rebuilt the Arc Pulse Generator and used it against the warriors of Clan Wren and House Kryze. Despite her limited range, the Duchess was able to choose the Beskar from her armor.
