Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy Updates Star Wars Fans on Her Upcoming Rey Movie

Director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has planned to concentrate on Rey's journey as a female Jedi in her upcoming Star Wars film.She is determined to tell a story that will be interesting to watch for  both new and old fans of the Star war series.While details aren't revealed yet ,We can already predict about The Rey leading the formation of a new Jedi Order in a movie with no name.

It was announced last year that Daisy Ridley will repeat her extremely popular role which is named as scavenger-turned Jedi Rey.This role contributed to success of Jedi Rey and made her quite famous.Its interesting as this came on screen some fifteen years after The Rise of Skywalker in an movie which had no apparent name.

Its quite normal as its just a leak with further details not revealed yet and might pop out in future.But One thing is sure ,this has created curiousty among us with excitement leveling up.We are quite waiting for further update while Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy recently showcased her roadmap for the story in a new interview.

The experience of Obaid-Chinoy isn't hidden and she is an Oscar winner too for her documentary, Saving Faces.She also directed two episodes of Marvel Studios Ms. Marvel, which introduced the first Muslim leading character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

Obaid-Chinoy explained her thoughts about latest Star Wars project and explained with excitement as The story that interests her the most is in Rey's journey as a female Jedi.That's how she can best bring her experiences to it.

She also experienced criticism as she announced her involvement in series but she is passionate and will tell the story accordingly as she is planning.The amazing thing about Star wars is that everyone has a personal connection to it .She has a goal that She is planning for a film that will excite  new generation to go to the movies while providing nostalgia for long time fans

There isn't so much revealed about her conceptual film but we can predict that we might see Rey as a female Jedi, navigating the galaxy far far away, and it will be interesting to see her lead the formation of a new Jedi Order. Ridley previously shared her excitement that The story is really cool and she is waiting to read a script because, obviously, she don't have any other updates. It's not what she expected, but she is very excited.

Now the question arises that will this movie be a success or not ,as she is already experiencing controversy over it.As per i know her from her work,she is a Good Documentary director and producer.She has previously worked on some good masterpiece as :

Disney is already welcoming her but still controversy persists as backlash.There are many reasons for it although i can understand a few which have a base.She has little experience with non-documentary filmmaking.She has only directed only five fiction projects, which include the 3 Bahadur trilogy, Sitara,Let Girls Dream, and two episodes of Ms. Marvel.

 Most of her work has involved directing and producing documentaries, which deal with serious topics like Climate change, the global slave trade, and terrorism. She won two Academy Awards for her work, winning for Best Documentary Short Film and Best Documentary Short Subject.

Its obvious that Being a documentary filmmaker does not make her ineligible to direct a Star Wars movie.However,Her Excellent experience with Ms. Marvel proves that she is capable of leading a popular franchise, especially where it relates to bright and excitable young leading characters. New Jedi Order's story will be somehow like Rey attempting to lead a new version of the Jedi Order, and the movie undoubtedly features some of the serious topics that she regularly Deals with. Slavery is a regular theme in Star Wars as is freedom fighting, and her experience dealing with these subjects could benefit her on a large scale.

The most common complaint  relates to comments that Obaid-Chinoy supposedly made when her selection was first announced. There are regular claims that the goal of her movie is to make men uncomfortable, which drew ire from a fanbase filled with many men. This claim does not have much standing, She never actually claimed that about Star Wars, but was actually a decade-old quote about a documentary about acid attacks in Pakistan. With the Lucasfilm franchise, she has repeatedly stated that she plans to make Star Wars: New Jedi Order a nostalgic and fulfilling experience for all viewers.

So ,The update is she has  agreed to direct New Jedi Order which will serve as Rey's reintroduction to the Lucasfilm universe, and marks the franchise's first movie to be directed by a woman of color.There is currently no release date for Obaid-Chinoy's Star Wars movie.
