*Legends*
Star Wars is a versatile and a wonderful story with many different sub genres and stories to immerse yourself in and to explore and analyze. These different stories include a variety of characters with different personalities, something everyone can relate to. That's one of the beauties of Star Wars-you have something for everybody.
When I first started out as a Star Wars fan, I noticed the fanbase divided up into many different little sub-sections. There's fans that love the Old Republic, the Prequels, Legends and Disney and so much more. Some fans find Mandalorian lore more fascinating while some might have a greater affinity for Imperial lore. Personally, I was always intimidated by Mandalorian lore. It felt like so much, stacked on top of one another ongoingly and I would not be able to keep up with it. As a result I pretty much tried to ignore it. However, as I delved deeper into Legends (the "sub-section" of the Star Wars fanbase to which I belong to), Mandalorian lore became increasingly hard to ignore.
Boba Fett is definitely something that got a lot of people into Mandalorian lore and he's very interesting, to say the least. I am going to share what I found interesting about Boba Fett because he is in the top 3 for sure.
Boba Fett's personality and actions should never be idolized obviously not his actions but his personality should definitely not be and there should be a heavy emphasize on that as some might see his stoicism as cool and something to pine after it's definitely not because if you analyze his character he is so lonely and sad that it hurts to read about him.
He was a clone, raised by a bounty hunter for a father and I have no doubt that his father was compassionate because Boba was broken when Jango died but he must have been surrounded by violence when he was little which must have psychology affected him growing up. After Jango's death he gets picked up by a bunch of bounty hunters and that's basically his childhood and adolescent years. He was dealt a horrible hand and his situation was something no one should undergo especially not at his age. And bounty hunting as a profession for a child to take up is so messed up.
In Legends he falls in love with a fellow bounty hunter, Sintas Vel. This is probably the first time he has felt love in a long time and it gets snatched from his far too soon. Sintas and Boba have a little girl, Ailyn and a bit after Something horrible happens to Sintas and Boba kills the man for which he gets exiled. Him and Sintas break it off and Ailyn is raised by Sintas with a grudge against Boba. Ailyn gets killed by Jacen-Caedus, actually-brutally. She was tortured and if you read, I think Backlash FoTJ, then the way Tahiri described it was definitely sick.
Boba Fett is very interesting in the way that he is so cut off, emotionally. Even with Mirta Gev, his grand daughter, if you read the books there's this undertone that Mirta wants Boba to be her family and when they find Sintas, pangs go through his heart. Boba's scared of loving because it brought him too much pain.
Again he is entirely cut off emotionally.
Boba Fett, Sintas Vel and Ailyn Vel.Boba Fett had hunted down the man in possession of this holo so that he may keep it for himself. This was a short post and I just wanted to familiarize myself with him and his character so thanks for readinnggg!!
Have a good day and take care!!
