In the book Master and Apprentice by Claudia Gray, Qui-Gon is discussing aspects of the force with Dooku's first padawan, Rael Averross. Rael had gone astray and was saying that it doesn't matter what side you choose. Qui-Gon responds with one of my favorite quotes, "I don't turn toward the light because it means someday I'll win some sort of cosmic game I turn toward it because it is the light."

Then in episode 3 of Kenobi, Obi-Wan says a very similar and profound statement about the force. Leia asks, "How does it work? The force. How does it feel?" Obi-Wan then asks, "Have you ever been afraid of the dark" Leia nods her head. Obi-Wan continues, "How does it feel when you turn on the light?" Leia responds with, "I feel safe." Obi-Wan concludes by saying, "Yes, it feels like that.

It is interesting to note the similarities in the way both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan feel and describe the force. When I heard Obi-Wan say this I had to pause and tell my brother and sister about the quote. It was all I could think of. Did anybody else get reminded of that?
