Ahsoka CW S7 Renders

After watching the first few episodes of the Ahsoka series and feeling deprived of the personality I'd grown to love in Ahsoka's animated form, I decided to create a few images of my favourite version of Ahsoka.  They were made in Blender and the second image was touched-up in Photoshop. Unfortunately BBS compresses the images to reduce file size (when they are uploaded), so these aren't at their best (4K) quality.  Below is a screenshot of the modelling process. 3y

Ahsoka's Lightsabers Renders

I created a few renders of Ahsoka's lightsabers in preparation for the upcoming episodes of Ahsoka. They were made in Blender and the first and third images were touched-up in Photoshop. I prefer the first image because of the volumetric lighting. To create the vines I used an addon called 'IvyGen' and to create the cracks in the stone I used the addons 'Cracker' and 'OCD' as well as displacement in the stone material.  Unfortunately BBS compresses the images to reduce size (when they are uploaded), so these aren't at their best (4K) quality.  I downloaded the models of Ahsoka's lightsabers here.3y

What If... Ahsoka Confronted Anakin on Mustafar - 3D Renders

I made a few concept images of what would have happened if Ahsoka went to Mustafar to confront Anakin instead of Obi-Wan. Although the scenario of Ahsoka besting Anakin is extremely improbable, I thought it would be interesting to make a few renders of what this could look like. For the most part the images were made in Blender, however I could only achieve a bloom effect on the lightsabers using the Eevee rendering engine, so I opted to use the Cycles rendering engine to get a more realistic image and I manually adding a glow to the lightsabers afterwards in Photoshop. I didn't put a large amount of effort into the project (5-6 hours), so I downloaded the materials from Blenderkit and character models from Sketchfab. Saying that, neither model had a rigging system attached so posing the characters was rather arduous and in doing so they became rather disfigured, meaning I had to do a decent amount of re-sculpting and altering of a few proportions. For the landscape I used an addon called ANT Landscape which allowed me to easily customise the terrain.  Ahsoka Model Anakin Model3y

My New Fan-Film - Star Wars: The Final Stand

About The Short Fan-Film: For the past 6 months I've been working on a short Fan-Film in an attempt at re-making the un-produced “Cad Bane Vs Boba Fett” scene from The Clone Wars which explains how Boba got the dint on his helmet and why Cad Bane has the metal plate in his head. I modified many aspects of the scene to account for the backstory I created however the showdown itself will be mostly the same (audio & camera angles). In the creation of the backstory to this showdown, I created a new character called Tarq Venkor who is a minor crime lord and a droid (the big thing on the poster). How It Is Made The majority of the film is being made in the free open-source application Blender. I used this to model, rig, animate, create materials, etc. I received some of the materials from Blenderkit and I also downloaded a few models from Sketchfab. I created the posters in Adobe Photoshop. These are a few posters I made for the short film... which do you think is the best? (vote in poll) Notice the two holes in the letters representing the dent in Boba's helmet and Cad Bane's head as a result of the conflict that occurs in the clip I am reproducing (between IN and ND). The show will be more heavily focused around Boba, so notice the shape of the letter 'T' in the logo... Also I really liked the series Andor, so this title uses the same font (Agency). Thoughts?3y

Ahsoka Lightsaber Analysis Pt.2

I think you can learn a lot about a force user by the look of their lightsaber.  Shin Hati and Baylan Skoll’s lightsabers were recently revealed and although Shin’s saber looks rather generic, Baylan's lightsaber looks very Old Republic like. This is quite different from the detailed, golden look, reminiscent of the High Republic that I thought they would go for. In the Ahsoka trailer, Baylan mentions that he knew Anakin, so that either means he was from Anakin’s time or he was around before that and briefly time jumped to Anakin’s timeline through the World Between Worlds. Or could Baylan have only known Anakin’s force ghost? I also noticed that both Baylan and Shin’s lightsaber a quite thin relative to a lot of others seen before, likely due to the ease it provides in swinging the saber. The five small circles on the rectangle on Baylan's lightsaber kind of look like a charging port of some kind (possibly due to older tech). I really like Balan’s lightsaber design. The Inquisitor’s lightsaber is also revealed and I’m not sure this was known before but it says his name is Marrok. I doubt it is a coincidence that Marrok was also the name of Embo’s pet Anooba (dog) and Embo was also created by Dave Filoni.  Thoughts?3y

Ahsoka Lightsaber Analysis Pt. 1

Many of the props from Ahsoka S1 were recently shown at SDCC, however 'Sabine's lightsaber' raises the most questions for me.  The prop below is labeled 'Sabine Wren's lightsaber hilt' and is very similar to Ezra's lightsaber hilt (also same colour blade), except for the top section which is very similar to the top section of Kanan's lightsaber hilt. Last we saw of Kanan's lightsaber is when Governor Pryce took it after Kanan's sacrifice, with the intent of giving it to Thrawn.  So did Sabine modify Ezra's saber to pay respect to Kanan (or just improve it) or has she built her own, taking inspiration from both of her lightsaber trainers? We know Luke's lightsaber is very similar to Obi-Wan's due to him following one of Obi-Wan's lightsaber tutorials on Tatooine, however I don't think Sabine is force sensitive enough to get her own Kyber Crystal, so she must be using either Kanan or Ezra's Crystal (probably Ezra's crystal due to the colour, despite Kanan not needing his anymore). Perhaps Ezra will build a new one in Wild Space that will reflect what he has been through out there, with bits a scrap metal and other stuff put together. I reckon it would look pretty dope.  I'll be interested to know what you think. 3y

Visions Season 2 Review

The second season was just about as bad as the first season. Most of the episodes felt not like Star Wars but rather anime stories set in a StarWars-like universe.  The storylines also seemed to get rather repetitive, often consisting of the entire episode about a brave child (typically girl) who learns to use the force by the very end of the episode and is then taken from her family/friends to train to become a Jedi. Not all of the storylines were like this however, some like 'I am your mother' left me questioning how my life choices led me to watching whatever this was. 'Journey To The Dark Head' had the best dialogue and messages of this season, however I never much liked the more traditional anime look this episode provided.  The animation styles were all over the place, some better then others. I liked the animation style of 'The Bandits of Golak' and despite the animation style during the first half of 'Sith' being distracting and rather confusing, I liked how the second half of the episode looked. I also enjoyed the concept of embracing both the light and dark and 'Sith' portrayed this well, despite not being portrayed in a way that felt like Star Wars.  I didn't like the low frame-rate at certain points throughout 'In The Stars' and wasn't a fan of the clay look to some characters, however the lighting and camera angles were done very well, with the colder grey-blue colours for the Imperial base scenes contrasting the warmer yellow-orange colours. The animation style of 'I Am Your Mother' was my least favourite, followed not far behind by 'Aau’s Song'. They also had the most pointless storylines.  Overall I agree with Theory, in that there are far better places Lucasfilm could be spending time and resources. Whether it be unfinished Clone Wars arcs like 'Son of Dathomir' or a 'Tales of the Sith'. I'll be disappointed with the announcement of a third season.3y

The Bad Batch S2 vs The Mandalorian S3

As a whole, I prefer the three seasons of The Mandalorian over the two we have seen of The Bad Batch, however despite the most recent Mando episode which I really enjoyed, I so far prefer the second season of The Bad Batch over the third season of Mando. This is kind of crazy to think about, considering The Bad Batch receiving only a fraction of the budget that Mando received, each season runs for relatively the same length of time and the success of the previous two seasons of Mando. Music I’ve got to admit, I’m not digging the themes/soundtrack in this third season of The Mandalorain. Ludwig Göransson set a high bar in his composition for the first two seasons and frankly, his apprentice (Joseph Shirley) hasn’t been meeting the standard Ludwig set. I don’t know why Ludwig wasn’t composing this season, I assume he just costs to much.  On the other hand, I’ve loved the soundtrack/themes to this season of The Bad Batch. Kevin Kiner has really leveled up is composition game and it makes me confident in his soundtrack for Ahsoka. Kevins songs from this season that stand out to me are 'The Good Soldier' from The Outpost when Crosshair shoots that Imp and 'The Sacrifice' from Tech’s death scene. He nailed it on the two most emotional and important scenes in the entire show imo. Story Both Mando S3 and TBB S2 have had their fair share of 'filler' and 'shit', particularly the episode 'Pabu' from TBB and 'Guns for Hire' from Mando. In my opinion, nothing in TBB has ever been as bad as chapter 22, 'Guns for Hire'. Due to it being the only Mando episode with a name not starting with the word 'The', I’m just gonna pretend it therefore doesn’t count as a Mando episode.  Future We also have to factor into account that fact that it was recently revealed that we are only getting three seasons of The Bad Batch, unlike the several more we will see of The Mandalorian. I was quite shocked by this annoucement, previously imagining that it would run as long as The Clone Wars or at least Rebels.  I believe however, that we are recieving a sort of 'trilogy' approach to the series (one season = one film). Alike with the second part to the Original Trilogy, the second part to TBB triliogy has ended with one of the main, good characters in captivity by the enemy. This is why I believe the third season will open on Hunter, Echo and Wrecker (sounds odd that there are so few) attempting to save Omega and Crosshair from Mt Tantiss. Perhaps they’ll have to do some kind of mission to figure out were they are first or something. This should leave the rest of the season to be dedicated to some kind of big finale involving other clones and hopefully setting up another animated series in the same animation style.  Its also interesting that both seasons of The Bad Batch ended on Mt Tantiss, possibly indicating its future importance.  I was beginning to think Paz Visla was a spy for Gideon, however The Armourer being the spy is looking like a far better theory, considering the spikes on Gideon’s helmet.  Thoughts? (btw if I don’t reply for a while, its because I’ll be off-grid for the next week and a half)3y

Did Grogu Go To Mustafar With Obi-Wan & Padme In Revenge Of The Sith???

During Doug Chiang’s presentation on designing Obi-Wan Kenobi & The Mandalorian at Star Wars Celebration, he mentioned that the ship Grogu and Kelleran Beq escaped on was specifically Padme’s. He then goes on to mention how much attention to detail they paid on ensuring it looked identical to the one from Revenge of the Sith. The Grogu escape scene takes place not long (about a day) before Padme and Obi-Wan travel on it from Coruscant to Mustafar. This could lead to a variety of possibilities, however my theory is that once Kelleran and Grogu arrived at Naboo or wherever they went, Grogu was hidden on the ship incase something happened. Kelleran left the ship to go do something, during which Padme summoned her ship from Coruscant, which brought Grogu with it. He would have then been taken to Mustafar and Polis Massa with Kenobi and Yoda, where he either went with Leia to Alderaan for a bit, or something else happened to him (not sure yet). Thoughts?3y

Star Wars Celebration London 2023 - Livestream Review & Thoughts

Star Wars Celebration is always great, however some years are certainly better than others. Compared to last year’s Celebration (Anaheim, CA), not much footage was released to the general public and I felt like they relied more on panels and live interviews. Despite being cringy at times, the interviews were generally entertaining and the panels were the most interesting to watch, providing more insight into the projects.  My favourite content from SW Celebration was: - The Making of Andor Season 1 panel - The Clone Wars 15th anniversary panel - Doug Chiang on the Art of Kenobi & The Mandalorian Season 3 - The Indy 5 and Ahsoka trailers I wish to have seen a Tales of the Jedi panel (or an interview at the very least), as it was my second favourite series of 2022 (behind Andor and ahead of Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett). I know they have to create benefits of physically attending SW Celebration as opposed to streaming it online, however I wish they would at least release the Ahsoka panel a week later or somehow give us more context on The Acolyte or the three new SW films announced. The 'recaps' they released on YouTube were completely useless, just designed to show us what we missed out on. I’ve never actually been to a SWC (due to living so far away from Europe and north America), so this is a review coming from someone who has only ever seen it on YouTube. I’ll be interested what you thought of it, especially if you were there. 3y

Grogu’s Past - Filling In The Blanks

It is still unknown how Grogu got from the Nubian Starship during Order 66 to Arvala-7 in Mando and what he was doing throughout that time. I like the theory that he was frozen in Carbonite, perhaps by the efforts of Kelleran Beq or another Jedi in an attempt to preserve his species throughout the Empire’s rule.  I theorise however, that he was captured by the Empire and taken to either Mt Tantiss or Fortress Inquisitorius. The Empire would want to conduct cloning-related experiments on him, however since destroying Kamino I don’t think they had the technology at that time to do so. I think he would have been frozen in that amber coloured liquid we saw other Jedi frozen in (in Kenobi), until they were ready to conducts tests on him. He would have then obviously been stolen and taken to Arvala-7 where I believe they were trying to protect Grogu from the Empire. This would explain why his 'mind went dark', apart from just having order 66 PTSD. I think it would also be good to find out in a later season who those people were in Chapter 1 and why they were holding Grogu. I noticed in Mando Chapter 20 that Grogu didn’t look much younger during order 66 than he does in Mando, despite being more than half his age. I would assume (according to my theory) that was because when he was frozen it stopped him from ageing. If he was cloned, it would bring up the possibility of him aging at double speed like the clones, or even faster. This may be a way Jon can get around having to wait hundreds of years until we see an older Grogu.  It may be difficult to explain this in Mando, so I think it would make for a great arc in Tales of the Jedi Season 2. One episode for how he was created (perhaps some conflict with Yoda, Yaddle and/or the Jedi council), one episode about his training and one about what happened to him between order 66 and Mando.  Due to Yoda being the Grand Master, I don’t think he and Yaddle are Grogu’s parents because that would be super hypocritical and despite that Clone Wars Season 6 arc with the Whills, Yoda isn’t typically one to break the rules. I think he is either a direct replica of Yoda or created by mixing Yoda and Yaddle’s genes, using the method Dr Pershing was describing in Mando, a method the Kaminoans created and was lost during the destruction of Kamino.  I hope we’ll get more of a resolution by the end of the season… Thoughts?3y

The Mandalorian Season 3 Poster Analysis

This official poster for The Mandalorian has a couple of details I believe may be important. At first glance, it seems that each character is looking in the same direction, however you can see Bo-Katan has her head looking slightly to the side. You can also see Din's head tilted slightly in the direction Bo's helmet is facing. This is representing the fact that unlike The Armourer and Paz Vizsla, Din is opening up to the idea that the ideologies he grew up learning may not be the only 'way' of the Mandalorians. The poster is showing how Din is leaning both physically and metaphorically towards Bo's Mandalorian ideology.  We have begun to see this in the second episode of season 3 and when Bo mentioned her fathers sacrifice, you could tell it meant something to Din and he had a genuine respect for the sacrifice. I think we will see this largely play out over this season and perhaps the seasons to come.  Overall its a nice poster and interesting that they digitally added a brush-mark effect to it, never seen Lucasfilm do that before. I wonder if that may have some significance, like that Din and/or Bo will paint over the past and old Mandalorian ways, making way for the next generation of Mandalorians...3y

Is it: - Particular users?  - Content guidelines?  - Changes to the platform?  - Mods?  - Theory? - Anything else? If any user is worried about interaction backlash, you can now post anonymously and say whatever you want without any negative effect. What I Noticed In The Mandalorian Chapter 17: The Apostate - Poll: Your Overall Episode Rating

First of all, its great to be back watching Mando. It feels like forever since Mando Season 2 was released and until I watched this episode I didn’t realise how much I missed these characters. As a result, despite it not being a particuarly great episode imo, it was still very enjoyable. Here are a few interesting things I noticed in the episode. When Din landed at Bo’s castle, it felt a lot like Obi-Wan landing on Kamino in Attack of the Clones. I also loved the design of the castle as soon as I saw it, sleek and smart just like the Wren Stronghold on Krownest in Rebels. It wasn’t just the outside of the castle but the inside also looked great, the cold, dark and angularity making it fell very emotionless and Mandalorian-esk, especially the throne design which I love. Mandalorians truly are great architects.  Despite being such a short run time, they seemed to pack a lot into the one episode. The pacing felt different to any other Mando episode and it felt odd how they kept jumping on to the next thing. Also I honestly didn’t like the design of the pirate king, he looked kind of stupid with the strips of plastic hanging off of his face.  He seems to be powerful however, so I wonder if he will show up in The Book of Boba Fett Season 2... In the opening scene when the kid was about to become a Mandalorian, I at first thought it might be a flashback to a young Din. Anyone else think the same? Yes, it would have meant they didn’t do a great casting job but I was pretty convinced when the kid was just about to swear not to remove his helmet before getting interrupted - it would have meant Din never really swore to not remove his helmet. I don’t think this was a coincidence however, the somewhat look-alike may have been chosen so the audience could connect him to when Din once swore the same oath, many years ago. Also we can’t exactly tell how old The Armourer is under the mask… Also, if you Google 'The Mandalorian', a popup will appear on the bottom of the page and if you click on Grogu who should appear, an animation will play. Interesting feature which they also added to The Last of Us. Thoughts?3y

My Top 5 Lines From The Mandalorian - Poll: Which 'You have something I want' scene was better?

1. "You have something I want. You may think you have some idea of what you are in possession of, but you do not. Soon, he will be back with me. He means more to me than you will EVER know." - Din / Gideon This line (with some minor changes [from it to he]) was great the first time when Moff Gideon delivered the chilling line in the same calm but menacing voice that Giancarlo Esposito uses for Gus Fring (Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul), Stan Edgar (The Boys) and so many other characters. They couldn’t have chosen a better actor for the role.  When Din said it at the end of Chapter 15: The Believer, it was the first conformation to me that once again, not a better actor could have been chosen for the role. You could really feel the emotion and weight behind what he was saying and the emphasis on the second last word 'ever' truly sold me the performance. This is possibly my favourite scene out of any film or show I’ve ever seen.  2."When one chooses to walk the way of the Mandalore, you are both hunter and prey." - The Armourer All of The Armourer’s lines are delivered in a really calm and cool way but this one stands out to me because she has essentially summed up the entire life of a Mandalorian in a single sentence.  3. "They all hate you because you’re a legend" - Greef Karga I like this line because it really shows the competitive nature between the guild members and how even success comes with a price. The contrast in the one sentence is an interesting but effective choice.  4. "I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold" - Din Just a badass line. 5. "Yeah. Empire, New Republic. It's all the same to these people. Invaders on their land is all we are. I'm just sayin', somewhere someone in this galaxy is ruling and others are being ruled. I mean, look at your race. Do you think all those people that died in wars fought by Mandalorians actually had a choice? So how are they any different than the Empire. If you were born on Mandalore, you believe one thing, if you're born on Alderaan, you believe something' else. But guess what? Neither one of them exist anymore. Hey, I'm just a realist. I'm a survivor, just like you." — "I don't know. Seems to me like your rules start to change when you get desperate. I mean, look at ya. You said you couldn't take your helmet off, and now you got a stormtrooper one on, so what's the rule? Is it that you can't take off your Mando helmet, or you can't show your face? 'Cause there is a difference. Look, I'm just sayin', we're all the same. Everybody's got their lines they don't cross until things get messy. As far as I'm concerned, if you can make it through your day and still sleep at night, you're doin' better than most." - Mayfeld Bill Burr is the perfect actor to play 'the average citizen' in any tv show. Just as in real life, he seems like a 'realist’ and you can tell he isn’t talking BS. It’s also great to hear an alternative view on the political side of the galaxy as opposed to someone rooting for The New Republic, The Rebellion, The Empire, The CIS, The Republic, etc. Also, he is not only completely right about what he is saying but a lot of what he is saying can also be said about the real world. Real world events were something George Lucas always took inspiration from so its nice that they are continuing that theme.  Are there any you would add? I’ll be interested to hear them.3y

Echo’s Mechanical Arm… How Practical Is It Really? - Poll: Best Alternate Arm?

In The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 2 (A Distant Echo) we saw Rex, Anakin and The Bad Batch find Echo who was being held captive by the Techno Union. Echo was both physically and mentally damaged from all their experiments and data gathering from him, leaving him with permanently paler skin, a missing forearm and other cybernetic implants. Despite proving itself useful in later episodes, it seems odd to me that Echo opted for a metal socket arm to replace his missing arm and hand as it seems like it would be difficult to use for most essential tasks in his daily life (eating, typing, fighting, etc). If I were in his position, I would have gone for a new robot hand like Anakin’s or Luke’s, however the Republic was low on credits at that point in time so I can imagine that it may have cost too much. If that’s the case, then I don’t know why he wouldn’t replace it once he joined The Bad Batch. I think the most likely explanation is that the writers wanted to have a clone who the audience knows to join The Bad Batch but they needed to give him a set of unique features so he would fit in with the rest of the squad (as being different to most Clones). Anyway, I found a Reddit post about some alternate mechanical arms he could switch his out for… Which is your favourite? Thoughts?3y

Where Is The Darksaber?

It’s only 2 weeks until the first episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 will be released and it has interested me why we don’t see the darksaber in much of their promotion. The first couple of trailers saw just about none of it and the main poster featured just Mando with his blaster and Grogu. Mando did have the darksaber in one of the later official posters, however.  From a marketing point of view, I would have thought Star Wars would want to be taking advantage of having 'lightsabers' back in Star Wars again. Explanation There are a couple of explanations I can think of for this: - Mando isn’t using the darksaber until he has been forgiven for his transgressions. The darksaber is a weapon so heavily steeped in the history of the Mandalorians that he doesn’t feel like he has the right to use it until he goes to the living waters in the mines of Mandalore. He used it in The Book of Boba Fett when he was fighting Paz Vizsla but perhaps stopped when The Armourer confronted him about his 'sin'. This may also explain why he didn’t use it in the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett during the final battle.  - They don’t want to spoil the Mandalorian for those who haven’t seen it. Thoughts?3y

The Future of The Bad Batch - Theories & Predictions

Overview Star Wars: The Bad Batch has many similarities to that of its predecessor, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. They both use the same animation style, both use the same score composer, both have similar episode lengths, both are aimed at similar age groups, they both follow the theme of exploring the human side of Clone Troopers and many other similarities. The first few seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars contained many 'filler' episodes, a theme Star Wars: The Bad Batch seems to also be following. Due to the success of Star Wars: The Clone Wars among fans and the many directions it has taken the Star Wars franchise as a whole, I think it is clear that Lucasfilm are attempting to replicate that success. This is why I think we will see many upcoming seasons of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, each released a year or two apart. I’ll make the following theories and predictions based on this assumption.  Short Term Theories & Predictions The Clone assassin we saw in episode 7 either had his inhibitor chip turned up or was genetically modified to be extra loyal to the Republic/Empire. Otherwise, no other trooper would have given their life for something like that (except Crosshair).  I think Echo going off with Rex will be an excuse to make some episodes feature just them on a mission that doesn't require an entire squad and is not so held back by Hunter's cautiousness. It may also bring Cody back into the story and we could see them reunite since the Clone Wars. This may also lead Ahsoka into the story, as she always had a personal connection to the clones (she spent a lot of her life around them) and she has a lot of empathy for them after her experience of Order 66.  Long Term Theories & Predictions Between seasons, we may experience the occasional time jump, so that we are not stuck in the same era of Star Wars and are instead witnessing more and more newer events play out.  In one of the later seasons of The Bad Batch, we will see Luthen’s backstory (if it’s not in Andor season 2). With only one more season of Andor remaining, I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t get much info about Luthen Rael’s backstory. The Bad Batch could show us more about how he sacrificed "Everything" for the cause, giving up all chance at inner peace, sharing his dreams with ghosts and giving up his life for someone else’s future. We may also see how Luthen came into contact with Kleya, Mon, Saw, etc. Season 3 will lead to a second Clone War between the Clones (and some remaining Jedi like Gungi, Ahsoka and Quinlan Vos) and The Empire. The Empire will win of course, but if the Empire use a dirty tactic to do so, it may show more of the galaxy what the Empire is really like and contribute to the Rebel cause. The Bad Batch S2 Episodes 7 & 8 - My Thoughts

Overall I loved these two episodes, some of the best in the series. They reminded me a lot of the inhibitor chip arc in season 5 of The Clone Wars, where it seems to be a political battle between the Clones (and a couple of good Senators/Jedi) vs the rest of the Republic/Empire. Both episodes were super engaging and despite being the longest episodes of the season, they felt like the shortest.  The episodes also seemed to sum up the tragedy of the Clones. So often the Clones get very close to success before an external force who thinks they are 'superior to clones' gets in their way. Fives was unbelievably close to discovering the true purpose of the clone inhibitor chips and not only preventing Order 66 but the entire fall of the Republic. The Clones as a whole were so close to ending the Clone Wars... before Order 66 happened and a new war begun. Once again, when the clones finally exposed the Empire of their atrocity at Kamino, Palpatine arrived just in time to come up with a way to turn it in his favour. This shows how the Clones regardless of being taught to think for themselves (as opposed to droids), they were still made for only one purpose and their creation was ordered from one person, Palpatine (who got Dooku to get Sifo-Dyas to get the Kaminoans to create them).  I loved seeing the streets of Coruscant again (even though it had only been since Andor) and I almost lost my shit seeing the aerial shot from the surface of Coruscant above the Martel's garage place (thinking/hoping we were going to see Ahsoka). I definitely lost my shit when Palpatine made his appearance in the Senate, no one had to say anything you could just feel the impact that his presence had on the senators. Also, he honestly came across nicer than I expected him to. Bail Organa seems to be in everything nowadays - The Clone Wars, Rebels, Rogue One, Kenobi, Tales of the Jedi, The Bad Batch and possibly Andor Season2 (not that thats a bad thing, I think he's a great character). It was also good to see Riyo Chuchi again (same species as George Lucas' character in RotS) and I noticed the place she was staying at looked like Padme's place on Coruscant. It was also good to see Rex again and I think Echo going off with Rex will be an excuse to make some episodes largely featuring them doing a mission that doesn't require an entire squad and is not so held back by Hunter's cautiousness. It may also bring Cody back into the story and we could see them reunite since the Clone Wars. Only missing Fives from this picture... so close... This was also the first time that the term Stormtrooper was mentioned, so I theorise it was named partly after the ‘storm’ that happened on Kamino. The Status Of The Lando Series & What I Want Lando To Be About

It’s been a while since December 10, 2020 (Disney Investor Day) when KK announced the future of Star Wars television and many of the upcoming shows. As of right now, the already released / 100% confirmed shows include the second season of The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, Visions, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Ahsoka and The Acolyte while plans for Rangers of the New Republic has been most likely abandoned due to the firing of Gina Carano, Rogue Squadron has been put on hold / indefinitely delayed due to Patty Jenkins’ contract with Warner Bros and we haven’t heard anything about Star Wars: A Droid Story or Star Wars: Lando.  Status Of Lando Not much was said about the Lando Series when it was announced except for that it would involve Donald Glover, so I am beginning to believe KK never really had a plan with the series and that it was a last-minute decision to keep the fans and investors satisfied with the future of the IP. It makes sense that they couldn’t announce The Book of Boba Fett then (as his survival was not yet revealed) but the development/idea of Tales of the Jedi must have come later, same with Skeleton Crew. I hope this isn’t a sign of further disorganisation at Lucasfilm and that they have learnt their lesson from the Sequel Trilogy mess-up.  It’s usually not a good idea to create a film or show just based on the fact that it was popular in another project. The plot typically works better when the story comes before anything else but there have been occasions where it has worked. I was never particularly excited for the Lando series (as we heard just about nothing about it), not even the genre. I would assume it is another down-to-earth/more real-world type of series which I assume Lucasfilm would be further interested in since Andor’s success with the critics.  What I Want Lando To Be About Lately it seems that Lucasfilm has been experimenting with new types of Star Wars content, most notably Andor being a Spy-Thriller and Mando and Boba being Space Westerns. Lando Calrissian seems to be the kind of guy who knows all sorts of people and has associations and dealings with the underworld and many other sorts of sketchy businesses. We could see Lando’s rise to success (before and after Solo takes place) and see how he became one of the galaxy’s greatest smugglers/gamblers/entrepreneurs. We could see Breaking Bad style blackmarket dealings with crime lords, how he managed to stay clean in the eyes of The Empire and we could even see The Battle of Taanab. I hope they capitalise on the story telling opportunities available while ensuring they further enhance Lando as a character and make us perhaps understand more of why he would turn his friends into The Empire in TESB. It could even touch on Qi’ra and Crimson Dawn, so we know what happens to them and even lead us into a Solo 2.  These are just my thoughts on the whole situation and I’ll be interested to hear what you think. 3y
