Captain Juno Eclipse was an Imperial pilot during the Great Jedi Purge. After the Callos Bombardment, one of the first battles in the history of the Galactic Empire, she was tasked with piloting the Rogue Shadow. the transport of Galen Marek, secret apprentice of Darth Vader. Before being branded a traitor by the Dark Lord, Juno joined Marek in his mission to create the Rebel Alliance. During her adventures, Juno and Marek fell in love, but Marek apparently died fighting the Emperor. Juno was present at the birth of the Alliance to Restore the Republic and went on to be a pilot for the Rebel Alliance.

Juno Eclipse was born in Corulag, the daughter of a teacher and a civil engineer. At a young age, her mother was killed in what was said to be a crossfire between empire loyalists and insurgents on her home planet. Her father became excessively strict and distant after the death of his wife. He was a great admirer of those who served the Empire, he even tried to enter the academy but was not approved. Juno was raised to believe the ideas passed down from her father, including a villainous image of the Jedi Order. And due to her father's great admiration for Imperial service, Juno became the youngest cadet to be accepted into Corulag Academy at the age of 14, fulfilling her father's dreams.
