American filmmaker and actor James Gunn says he will not direct any Star Wars trilogy.

Suicide Squad was his first DC film that he directed and the follow up show on HBO max called Peacemaker. First season has allready aired.

James responded in a tweet, I am finishing a Guardians trilogy. That's enough space opers for me at this moment.

James have been aproched many times to work on star wars, and always turned it down, stating, No it doesn't really interest me as a filmmaker. I can't think of any franchises I'd want to join other than the ones I'm already part of.

Will we see a James Gunn directed movie after the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. is released on May 23, 2023.

I sure hope so...
