Banner Leasing User Guide
Welcome to the banner leasing user guide.
The banner leasing system allows community members to lease the banners of the posts that they own to advertisers or other community members, enabling advertisers to run campaigns in BBSes of their choice. Post owners will now be able to earn ad revenue for every post that they own, while advertisers will be able to target specific communities.
The guide below will walk you through how this is done:
How to Lease a Banner on a Post (for NFT Owners)
To access the banner leasing system:
- Go to user profile
- Click “View profile”
- Click “banner”
How to Determine the CPM (Cost Per Million Impressions)
- Click “lease”
- Check “approval” box
- Determine “min CPM”
Congrats! You have now leased the banner on all the posts that you own, enjoy your profits! In the future, we’ll enable more advanced features, such as leasing only some of your banners, and other customizations.
Min CPM - is the minimum amount you’re willing to be paid for 1,000 impressions on posts you lease. Your banner will not be leased until someone is willing to pay this amount or more.
Note: The ad server is built to optimize ad revenue for post leasers by prioritizing the highest paying ads to be displayed first.
Alternatively, you may choose to immediately lease your banner at the time of purchasing a post.
How to Create an Ad Campaign on BBS (for Advertisers)
- To Access the Banner Leasing System:
- Go to your profile
- Click “View profile”
- Click “Banner”
To Create a Banner:
- Click “edit banner” button<br>
- Upload image or insert text
- Enter the target link for the ad, then click save.
Congrats! You have now created a banner, it’s time to create your campaign!
To Create a Campaign:
- In the Advertising section click “Create”
- Enter the initial amount you wish to deposit
- Enter the “Max CPM” you are willing to pay, then click “create”
Congrats! Your campaign has been launched!
Note: If you do not have enough CT (community token) then please see section below on how to purchase more CT. You will NOT be able to use any CT given as a reward (join bonus, posting bonus, etc.) for advertising purchases, only CTs that are purchased or earned through engagement.
Deposit Amount: how much you are willing to spend on your campaign
Max CPM: how much you’re willing to spend per 1,000 impressions on your campaign
Credit Balance: the total amount of CT available in your wallet
Campaign Budget Balance: how much CT is allocated to your ad campaign
How to Purchase Community Tokens (CT)
Once you identify which BBS you want to advertise in, you’ll need to purchase that BBS’s unique Community Token, or CT. You do so by depositing funds into the community cashier.
To Purchase CT:
- Click the wallet symbol on the top right
- Then click “deposit”
- Choose your payment method. You can deposit BBS, EOS, USDT or even USD directly from your credit card.
- Your CT will appear in your Campaign Budget Balance
