Rian Johnson created the line - let the pass die kill it if you have to he was successful doing it to TLJ.  Star Wars has not been the same KK should have sacked him on the spot but loved the Johnson pitch, unfortunately Bob Iger should have had removed them both for being incompetent and no a good fit for the franchise which has not been the same since
