Before the amazing duel between Maul, Savage, and Sidious began on Mandalore, Maul sensed a presence, but he wasn't entirely sure of who that presence was initially. Then, not a second later, Sidious walks into the throne room and we know how things go.

I just had a random thought about Maul and his persona... Had he actually recognized Sidious's presence much sooner, how would things have gone down? Would Maul and Savage flee before Sidious reached them? Where would they go to hide from the Dark Lord of the Sith? Would Sidious pursue them? The other option is that Sidious rallies his new Death Watch army and that the 2 dark side users and the army engage Sidious together. How would that fight go down? Mandalorians have a lot of weapons that resist the Jedi after all. I imagine they would have ways to reduce damage from a Sith as well. Could Sidious survive against that large of a group?
