I’ve read a few SW books and comics, but not much. TCW really contextualized a lot of the SW universe for me and made me fall in love with the prequel-era. I much prefer having hundreds of Jedi fighting, see all the different planets and cultures, the lore and world building. The universe just feels so alive. By the time of OT rolls around, there’s not much left by comparison, thanks to the empire.
