The remaster of the 1995 game Star Wars: Dark Forces has a release date set for February 28, 2024. The game is for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch.
Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster will run on modern gaming systems with a resolution up to 4K and at 120 frames per second (not on the Switch version). Game play should be upgraded with high-resolution textures, enhanced lighting and rendering, and support for console gamepads with platform-specific features.
The remaster was announced back in August 2022, and is being made in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, the 1995 first-person shooter - which follows mercenary Kyle Katarn as he undertakes a number of covert operations to stop the Empire at the request of the Rebel Alliance.
Hopefully more past classics will follow.
