There have been some polls regarding Force Dyads lately and we’ve also seen Theory, Josh, and the Nerd Council discussing it in recent videos since the new Sith book talked about it. I’m curious to hear some more detailed thoughts from those who have an opinion about it.

My take is that it’s a cool concept but the reason I dislike it is because we already have the established concept of Force Bonds. I don’t think we need to make an exaggerated version of that with a new name. Revan and Bastila had a stronger bond than Kylo and Rey as far as I’m concerned - Bastila essentially saved Revan from dying and nursed him back to mental health in a sense. At best Kylo/Rey’s bond is as strong as that, but to say it’s stronger doesn’t make sense to me and it minimizes their relationship as well as others we’ve previously seen in the timeline.

In addition, as Theory and Josh have touched upon, I think that transferring objects through space through a Dyad, while a cool concept, just sets a bad precedent for the Star Wars Universe. It’s similar to World Between Worlds - super cool concept that was awesome within Rebels, but now that that has been introduced within the SW Universe, it can easily negatively impact existing and/or future stories. It seems like Star Wars is trying to make the Dyad an ongoing idea since it showed up in The Secrets of the Sith where they tried to explain it further and even alluded to Palpatine wanting to form a Dyad with Anakin.

I’d love to hear from both sides of the argument to get a good discussion going here!
