Dengar was a Corellian bounty hunter who operated from the early phase of the Clone Wars. Dengar participated in an operation on Quarzite—during which he served as a member of Boba Fett's Bounty Hunter Syndicate—working with such bounty hunters as Boba Fett, Bossk, and Asajj Ventress; to secure a valuable property from Lord Otua Blank of the planet Quarzite. Later, he was hired by the Hutt Cartel to drive the Sith Lord Darth Maul, his brother Savage Opress, Pre Vizsla, and the Death Watch troops out of Nal Hutta.

Dengar remained active during the Galactic Civil War, in which he was one of the bounty hunters hired by Darth Vader to capture Han Solo, the captain of the Millennium Falcon. Though Dengar ultimately lost the bounty due to his adversary and associate Boba Fett getting the better of him, Dengar was later seen in Jabba's Palace on Tatooine alongside Bossk and Fett. Dengar was there during Solo's rescue organized by Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker.
