So recently I re-watched the Mortis arc from The Clone Wars Season 3, and I realized something about the Father--he looks very much like an Anunnaki (the Mesopotamian Gods).
The Gods of Mortis towered over Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan. Many Mesopotamian carvings depict the Anunnaki as being far taller and larger than regular humans.
There are many portrayals of the Anunnaki, but most have in common the long beard and hair with a tall hat. Unlike his children, Father sprouted wings from his back instead of fully turning into an animal. I looked through both the Canon and Legends Wookieepedia Article, and found no reference of the Anunnaki/Mesopotamians having played a role in the development of the Mortis Arc--if there was one, it wasn't said so in any official source. What was from an official source was that the original idea for this story arc came directly from George Lucas.
Further connecting the two topics is Mesopotamian mythology--I'm decently sure that unlike other mythologies, the Mesopotamians focused on a few key figures out of many (there was a whole race of Anunnaki but I don't think more than three or four were named--I could be wrong on this though). Coincidentally, three beings inhabited Mortis--The Father, The Son, and the Daughter.
On a separate topic, we know that one of the original drafts of Star Wars was a powerful being called Whill who documented the events of the Star Wars movies in his journal (sounds like a religious text). While this connection between Star Wars' most powerful characters and real-life deities never made it into the movies, the Whills and their journal still exist even in the Disney canon.
In Legends works ("The Book of the Sith") it was alluded to that the Nightsisters of Dathomir worshipped the Son and the Daughter as gods, so the precedent for the Mortis Force Wielders' being worshipped and known to multiple Force Orders is set--even after the destruction of Mortis, the legacy of the Force Wielders remained, as did Father's spirit through the Force (he was the only Mortis god to "poof" like Obi-Wan and Yoda when he died).
Could it be that Lucas/Filoni are trying to remake that original connection to real life through upcoming projects? Ahsoka does have a deep connection to the Daughter (life essence transfer through Anakin), there is a possibility that Mortis will be revisited in the Ahsoka series, and perhaps even raise questions about Ahsoka's "divinity."
