After watching the episode twice, I realized a connection between the flashbacks to Boba's times with the Tusken Raiders and the "present day" in Boba's struggles after taking over Jabba's syndicate.
The title is the first clue - "A Stranger in a Strange Land" applies to both Boba's time with the Tuskens, where he has no idea about Tusken culture, and his similar lack of experience leading a crime syndicate.
Furthermore, the sequence of events of the flashbacks reminds me of the sequence of events before, leading up to, and throughout the Book of Boba Fett series. The Red Rodian cold be a mirror of Fennec - both characters disagree on how to deal with their situations alongside Boba. Both characters seek to assimilate with the surrounding culture (the Rodian with becoming a slave and Fennec with wanting to follow more of Jabba's precedent). Additionally, the Rodian's finding more water fruits in the sand may be a mirror of Fennec's increased martial skill compared to Boba.
The whole situation of entering a strange setting without much support is also a major parallel, similar to the title.
If the flashbacks are indeed parallel to the rest of the plot of the show, what could that mean for plot predictions?
1. Fennec may be wounded/separated from Boba. I think it unlikely that she will die like the Red Rodian.
2. A young character (perhaps the younger woman from the trailer footage) will first be at odds with Boba before Boba defends the character from a greater threat.
3. Boba will eventually build an alliance with his original adversaries. This is likely the mayor of Mos Espa and his forces.
Thanks for reading! What do you think of this theory?
