Luke’s Return to Episode 9 – Star Wars News Explained
I’m going to give the usual warning as this article contains spoilers from Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. For those of you guys that haven’t gotten around to seeing the movie just yet, please do not continue reading this article. For those of you who have seen it, let us continue…
I know Luke Skywalker’s death and subsequent disappearance in The Last Jedi was not only sad for us fans, but frankly disappointing too. Don’t panic though guys, according to a Twitter post Mark Hamill wrote last year, he will definitely be back to play Luke. In the tweet he says: “I haven’t seen my chin since May 15, so #FarewellFacialFur & #ByeByeBeard (at least till Episode IX) @popculturerequest”. Add what he said to the powerful Force abilities we saw Yoda using in The last Jedi and a whole bunch of possibilities are opened up. Maybe Luke didn’t die at all and what happened was something to do with Yoda’s teachings, or perhaps he did take the dirt nap, but we will see him again in Episode IX as a Force ghost. Who can tell right now, but one thing looks certain; we will see Luke again in one form or another. Also, we haven’t really seen the Luke that us as fans truly deserve. It’s as if they have constantly been teasing us with him. Now that we know he will return for the next movie, let’s all hope we’ll get to see him play the part we’ve all been waiting for. Check out the video below for more details.
