A Complete Star Wars Universe Experience
I bet I’m not the only one who planned a trip to Orlando when Disney announced its Star Wars expansion coming in 2019. I can’t be the only one whose plans were pushed into hyper drive once they revealed the layout for the new park at D23.
The new Disney attraction (named “Galaxy’s Edge”) is being geared up to completely immerse visitors in the Star Wars universe. Here are some of the highlights from last weekend’s announcements…
Have you ever watched the Saga and wondered what it would be like to see a Star Wars ship up close and personal? Well imagine no longer. The park will feature several full sized iconic starships from the movies, including the infamous Millennium Falcon.
Millennium Falcon Ride
Disney also revealed that there will be a Millennium Falcon ride. Much like their Mission Space attraction, riders will be given specific tasks to do during the course of the trip, but fly carefully, you might make some enemies along the way…
Some sources are quoted as saying that how well you perform during your visit will dictate how characters in the park react to you. There is also word that other attractions in the park will have the same feature but with employees knowing who you are.
Not much is known about the resort announced at D23, but as Disney’s Parks and Resorts chairman claims; “We are working on our most experiential concept ever.” From what was disclosed, they are aiming for the Hotel to be the most immersive resort in the world. Boasting droids, views of space, and your own personal Star Wars costume, You’ll be able to immerse yourself completely in the Star Wars universe universe.
The main point in Disney’s presentation was that they wanted to convey that the immersion of the guest will be absolutely paramount in their plans . Personally, if I can get to experience stepping into that Galaxy Far Far away for even a second, it’ll be well worth the the price of a plane ticket.
Thanks for reading guys and as always, MTFBWY!
